Tent Size Formulas

Formula for estimating Tent Size is: Number of Guests X 12=Square Feet, add 50 square feet for each serving table, add 75 square feet for DJ, add 1 foot to both sides of dance floor to get needed square feet for dance floor and add to total square feet.
Example:
150 guests seated around tables
    with 6 serving tables
         (four for food, a cake table and a gift table)
a DJ and a 15x15 dance floor

150 x 12 = 1800 sf for guests seated around tables
6 x 50 = 300 sf 6 total tables
1 x 75 = 75 sf DJ area
16x16= 256 sf for a 15x15 dance floor
Total 2431 sf needed.
Tent Size needed would be 40x60.

Congregation Seating Formula for estimating Tent Size for guest seated in Congregation Style:
number of guests x 6 plus
(estimate of center aisle= 4xlength) plus (estimate of area for bridal party or head table if applicable)Example:150 guests x 6 = 900
Center aisle 4x40 = 160
Bridal Party of 11 = 200
Total needed = 1260 sq feet Tent Size 30x45
